The Simpsons Movie Poster

·      This poster is simple and therefore creates a childlike image, which establishes the genre as a childs film.

·      The poster plays on the fact that children have already seen the Simpsons and know the characters, and so we are reminded of homer’s love of donuts when we see this picture of him stealing one from the title. This tells the audience that the film is also of a comedy nature.

·      The plain background of the poster makes the image and title stand out, and as a result this makes it more eye catching for the audience.

·      The codes and conventions are not fully forfilled here, for example there is not one main image that cover the majority of the poster and there is a plain white background. On top on that, the names of any actors/characters appear no where on the poster itself.
